Book 2!

The copyediting stage for my upcoming book Out of the Park: A Romance should be completed this week. I'm so excited to be one step closer to having this book ready for readers! (Check out my TikTok and Facebook pages to see the cover reveal.) My current projection is that the book will be available in November, but stayed tuned for a firmer date.

Out of the Park is the second book in The Curveball Incident Series. Book one, Curveball: A Love Story, tells Zach Hiller's story. Zach is pitcher with the New York Yankees whose wild pitch severely injures rookie phenom Tommy Layton. Out of the Park is Tommy's story!

One game, one pitch. That’s all it took to change the course of Tommy Layton’s life forever. One minute he’s a rookie phenom burning it up in the major leagues and contending for Rookie of the Year. A split- second later, he’s on the injured list, deeply depressed, and trying to figure out how he’s going to get back everything he’s lost.

Lucy Valente understands all too well because she’s lost everything, too—her parents, her career, her money, and, most of all, her sense of hope. A chance encounter ignites a fire for both of them, but they’re stuck in the lowest valleys of their lives, so the timing couldn’t be worse. Lucy can’t seem to embrace the love and happiness she knows Tommy represents. And while he wants to give her the space she needs, he also realizes their chance to be together is quickly disappearing. How can they find their happily-ever-after when it feels like their happily-right-now is impossible?

In addition, I've got another idea planned as a present for my newsletter subscribers. It will be a novella set in the Curveball world. It will be Book 1.5 in the series (the events fall in between Curveball and Out of the Park). More details to come soon! Be sure to sign up for my newsletter so you don't miss out.

It's been a busy and exciting time. I mentioned in my last blog post that I was going to London. It was a college-tour trip with my daughter, who wants to study music there. When I got back, it was just in time for school to start back up. I teach middle school (ELA to 7th graders). Happy to say I've got some absolutely terrific students this year. But everything I just mentioned sure is keeping me busy!
