The Bridesmaid is live!

The last time I wrote, I said that copyediting was starting for my next book The Bridesmaid: A Romantic Suspense Story. I'm happy to announce that not only is the editing done, but the book is out and live in both paperback and ebook formats! Get your copy today (just in time for Christmas presents!).

Here's a little blurb about it:

Julianna’s thirty, single, and ready for an adventure as she heads out on the trip of a lifetime to London, but she doesn’t find adventure; adventure finds her! Julianna meets a sexy and mysterious spy and finds herself in the middle of a terrorist threat, and that’s just on day one. She wanted an escape, but what she stumbles into is more than she possibly could have bargained for…and way more heartache than she ever could have imagined. How can she navigate love, danger, independence, and a rigorous sightseeing itinerary…and still keep her heart intact?

This book is unlike any other book I've written. For one, it's a romantic suspense story. It's got intrigue and danger right along with love and romance. It's also different in that it's set in the past. Not purposely, but I wrote the first draft a long time ago. The plot is very much tied to the post-9/11 world it was written in. Sure, I could have tried to update the technology and pull it into the present, but I felt like it would lose some of its spark. Plus, much of what happens wouldn't be likely in the current world we live in, with our phones attached to us at all times.

A third way that it differs from my other books is that it stays in Julianna's point of view. Her love interest is both mysterious and a spy. I considered adding his POV, but in the end I decided that adding his perspective would change that feel of mystery for the reader. (Plus there's only so much I know about the world of spies, lol.)

This book means a lot to me. It was the first book I ever wrote, and the one that helped me prove to myself that I could do it. While my writing style has changed over the years, I'm so happy and proud of this story. I can't wait to hear what you think about it. Be sure to review it on Amazon, Goodreads, Bookbub, or your favorite site!
